OVERVIEW
The Har Ki Dun trek, often called the “Valley of Gods,” offers an enchanting journey through the remote Garhwal Himalayas. This moderate-level trek, perfect for both beginners and seasoned trekkers, takes you to an elevation of 3,566 meters (11,700 feet) over a 50-km round trip. Along the way, you’ll pass through dense forests, sparkling rivers, and remote villages like Taluka and Osla, where life remains untouched by the hustle of modernity. The trek presents stunning vistas of majestic peaks such as Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Kala Nag, making every step more rewarding.
The trek starts from the small village of Sankri, a well-known base for multiple treks in Uttarakhand, and leads you through lush meadows, alpine flora, and the banks of the Supin River. As you trek deeper into the valley, you’ll discover the ancient mythology linked to this region. Har Ki Dun is believed to be the route taken by the Pandavas on their ascent to heaven in the Mahabharata. Trekkers can also visit the beautiful Marinda Tal and explore the pristine wilderness surrounding it, making it a paradise for nature lovers.
At Boots & Crampons, we ensure that every trek is not just about the destination but the experience. With our experienced guides and well-planned itineraries, you can focus on enjoying the natural beauty and cultural richness of Har Ki Dun without worrying about logistics.
