OVERVIEW

Your kid must be smart at school but there are not many ways to assess one’s true capabilities in physical and mental sense. That’s where adventure camps come in. They not only help kids develop skills and aptitudes, but they also help them gain independence and learn new things. They can make new friends and discover their abilities by exposing themselves to new experiences outside of their normal routines at home and school.

In this particular program, your kids will be learning from the best. A 3-day camp at an army theme adventure park managed by ex-army officers will provide all things necessary for a short but rigorous experiential learning program. So, if you want your children, aged between 7 to 17 years old, to engage in adventure, spend time outdoors, stare at the star-lit sky, make new friends, and learn more about themselves, this is the program for them.

Another drawback of metropolitan life is that for entertainment or even studies, kids are stuck to mobiles for too long. While we embrace technology when it comes to safety and study, we do ask that campers submit their phone to us on their arrival. For urgent communication, parents can contact the camp supervisor. This particular trip will promote overall development among the kids & give them an experience of a lifetime. On their return, you will definitely witness a positive change in the children’s attitude.

DATE: 27-29 January 2023  |  Note: A separate batch can also be planned if approached by a group.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q1) Does my child need to have any prior backpacking, or outdoor experience?

Not at all! Our camps do not require any prior knowledge or experience in hiking, camping, or pottery. However, it does make it easier on the participants if they enjoy being outdoors or are at least open to it. We do recommend getting a good-fitting backpacking backpack for the backpacking camp. Over the course of the camps, participants will learn everything they need to know (and then some)

Q2) What are your Electronics Policies?

We ask that phones and other electronics besides cameras or a watch to be submitted on Day 1 (please no smartwatches). We ask this for a multitude of reasons, the first being that being in the outdoors and surrounded by nature, we have discovered that most elements do not mix well with our phones or other electronics. Staff will have their phones and take photos although we try and be as present as possible meaning we typically do not use our phones at camp when not needed. As we like to say let’s unplug and connect together!

Q3) Will I be able to contact my child?

Not at all times. But in case of emergency, you can contact your kid through the supervisor.

Q4) What will the accommodation be like?

Kids will stay in tents, dine in a proper dining hall & sleep on comfortable mattresses.

Q5) What does the menu look like on your trek?

We provide you with healthy, nutritious food, both veg and non-veg, thrice a day on your trek. There will be snacks in between too, and sometimes pocket snacks for the trail. You’ll be served mostly North Indian vegetarian food coming to your meals. So your typical meal will include roti (Indian flatbread), sabzi (vegetable), rice and dal (lentils). You’ll also find familiar food like khichdi, rajma chawal, pulao, pancakes and sandwiches. There will be copious amounts of hot chai and soup, of course!

Q6) What are the transportation facilities?

Parents will have to drop their kid at the camp site on Day 1 before 4pm and pick them on Day 3 after 5pm.

Q7) Is it going to be very difficult?

Though you kids must be fit, the activities conducted at the camp will only take manageable amount of effort. Hence, it is not very difficult but yes, a little challenging.

Q8) Are girls and boys separated?

Girls and boys are accommodated in separate tents on sharing basis. However, the program is completely mixed.

Q9) Are camp t-shirts provided?

Yes. Each child’s first registration of the summer includes a T-shirt. It can be picked up on the first day of camp.

Q10) Can the parent join their kid for the program?

We’re afraid, it can’t be done. This is a Kids’ specific program. Kids need to come alone or be dropped at the Camp site. So that they can indulge into the activities and plan completely with no distraction.

Q11) What do I need to pack for my Kid?

No technical equipment are required, just your basic clothing. Please refer to the brochure to read the complete list of things to pack.

Q12) How well is the staff?

Everyone making this program possible is a true professional. Trained cooks, certified mountaineers and experienced Instructors will be there to make the whole plan go as smooth as possible.

Q13) What all is included?

This 3 day 2 night program includes all the activities mentioned in the itinerary, accommodation, complete nutritious meal at all times, tea/soup, snacks, and first aid.

Q14) What’s the location?

Delta 105, Army theme based adventure park close to Manesar, 30 mins drive from Gurgaon.

Q15) What is the fitness eligibility criteria?

Able to walk for 30 mins nonstop. Should NOT be overweight. Not suffering from any illness. NO surgical patients.
