OVERVIEW
The Kashmir Great Lakes trek is a breathtakingly beautiful trek located in India that offers a unique and divine side of Kashmir. It is considered one of the most beautiful treks in India, offering stunning views of five river valley crossings and three high-altitude passes, as well as several picturesque alpine lakes in shades of green, blue, and turquoise. Each day is postcard perfect, with a new alpine lake to look forward to, and what makes these lakes even prettier are the snow patches that feed them. You’ll see them sliding off the serrated mountains into the lakes, and sometimes you’ll see milky white icebergs floating on the lake’s inky blue surface. The elevation circles around 13000 feet and the distance paths approximately 63 km.
This moderate-level trek requires one to be physically fit and have a healthy cardiovascular system due to its steep ascents and descents. It is an ideal choice for experienced hikers seeking a challenging and fulfilling adventure, where they will learn so much about themselves.
