Nag Tibba, located in the Garhwal region near Mussoorie, is the highest peak in the lower Himalayas and gives its name to the Nag Tibba Range, one of the three prominent ranges of the Lesser Himalayas, alongside the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges.
This trek is perfect for both beginners and seasoned trekkers, offering a refreshing weekend escape. While it is a great camping destination during spring and summer, Nag Tibba also shines as one of the best winter treks when most high-altitude trails are closed due to heavy snowfall.
However, the traditional trail often becomes crowded. That’s why our carefully curated itinerary takes a more scenic and less-traveled route, longer, quieter, and twice as rewarding. The trail offers stunning panoramic views of the Garhwal region and is adorned with a rich variety of flora.
What sets this trek apart is the twin-peak climb, starting with Luntsu Peak followed by the summit of Nag Tibba. The area blooms with wildflowers, and the towering Deodar forests only enhance its natural charm.
If you’re looking to disconnect from the chaos of everyday life and make the most of your upcoming vacation, this serene yet adventurous journey to Nag Tibba is the perfect choice.
The Mangankot summit, a unique formation on the old Manali mountain, is visible from the left bank of Manali. The trail follows the Manalsu Nallah, winding through thick pine and deodar forests. With its alluring landscape, the ascent to Mangankot is moderately challenging.
However, before tackling the Mangankot climb, you’ll hike to one of Manali’s hidden gems, the Majhach frozen lake. Located in the Majhach village of Manali Tehsil, this lake is one of the region’s unexplored wonders. In winter, it freezes and is covered with snow, offering a stunning view and serene atmosphere. In summer, it is equally mesmerizing, showcasing its divine natural beauty and peaceful surroundings.
The Mangankot trek, with a detour to the Majhach frozen lake, is an exclusive journey that combines the best of both worlds. It’s perfect for those looking to explore unreal landscapes while also experiencing the thrill of an adventurous trek.

Overnight stay in tents at Digon Thach.
After breakfast, we begin our final descent toward Srikot village, following well-defined trails through forests and terraced landscapes. Upon reaching Srikot, the trekking portion of the journey comes to an end. We then drive back to Dehradun, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours.
