OVERVIEW
Mukta Top is situated in the Gharwal Himalayas in the Uttarkashi district of Uttrakhand. What distinguishes this trek from other destinations is the beautiful forest trail and the snow at the summit. Mukta Top trek is perfect for those seeking an easy winter trek and an opportunity to enjoy nature amidst beautiful forests and the sounds of chirping birds.
The highlight of the Mukta Top trek is the diverse range of flora and fauna present throughout the trail. The oak, rhododendron, maple, pine, bamboo, and grasslands make this place unique, unspoiled, and gorgeous. After the forest trail ends, the meadows open up, providing a 360° view of the highest mountain peaks of Uttrakhand from the summit.
During winters, the entire meadow is covered in snow, creating a captivating view. This makes the Mukta Top trek perfect for winter treks, though it can also be done during summer and post-monsoon seasons when the weather is equally beautiful. From the summit of Mukta Top, you can see the Gangotri, Bandarpoonch, Nag Tibba, Mt. Kala Nag, Mt.Jaonli, and Draupadi ka Danda mountain peaks in all their glory.
