Why Train
Make no mistakes, the most ravishingly beautiful mountains are often most unforgiving towards the unprepared. Mountaineering is one of the most demanding endeavor in the world, hence, requires proper training and preparedness. There are some unique challenges posed by high-altitude environments, like low oxygen content, low air pressure, limited recovery, prolonged exertions and limited scope of hydration and nutrition. Hence, conventional training often fails a person at high altitude. We need specific training to overcome the challenges of high altitude. Training for mountain takes time and a deep understanding of human physiology. But once properly trained, it enables us to push our way to the summit and brings us back safely.
