The Dayara Bugyal Trek is a delightful journey into one of the most picturesque alpine meadows in India. Located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Dayara Bugyal sits at an impressive altitude of 12,300 feet, offering breathtaking views of towering Himalayan peaks such as Bandarpoonch, Srikanth, and Gangotri ranges. Spread across a vast 28-square-kilometer expanse, the lush green meadows turn into a snow-laden paradise during winter, making it a year-round destination for nature lovers and trekkers alike.
This trek is ideal for beginners as well as seasoned trekkers. It combines easy-to-moderate trails with awe-inspiring scenery, traversing through dense oak and rhododendron forests, quaint Himalayan villages, and pristine streams. The trek’s highlight is the panoramic view from Dayara Top, where you can soak in a 360-degree vista of the snow-covered Himalayas.
The journey begins in Barsu, a quaint village near Uttarkashi, and takes you through Barnala, a serene camping site surrounded by pine trees. The gradual ascent ensures ample time for acclimatization, and the pristine environment rejuvenates both the body and soul. - Transportation: Pick-up and drop-off service from Dehradun to Barsu and back.
- Accommodation: Stay in guesthouses (where available) and tents during the trek.
- Meals: Nutritious vegetarian meals from dinner on Day 1 to brunch on Day 4.

EXCLUSIONS
- Personal travel from your hometown to Dehradun and back.

- Charges for porters/mules to carry personal luggage (available for ₹350 per day per bag, up to 12 kg).

A woolen warm cap and balaclava offer warmth and protection against the cold Everest winds, while a bandana serves multiple purposes, from a sweatband to a dust mask.

Your feet are your foundation. Multiple pairs of socks—lightweight for mobility, heavyweight woolen for warmth—ensure your feet stay dry and comfortable.
Ankle-high, heavy sole trekking boots are indispensable, crafted for the rugged terrain, with regular sneakers as a backup, allowing your feet to rest and breathe in the evenings.
Hands That Conquer:
Protect and preserve your hands with two pairs of warm liner gloves and a pair of waterproof gloves. This combination keeps your hands warm, dry, and ready to grip your next challenge.
